With 30 years experience behind me I’m very focussed on education within my salon and ensuring myself and my team continually attend training courses to keep up to date with the latest trends and evolving techniques.
When I’m not running a column in the salon I am passing on my hairdressing knowledge to our next generation of stylists and keeping them continually inspired and excited about there work. I feel very lucky to be a part of such an incredible team.
I started my apprenticeship in 2010 and haven’t looked back since, I am full time in the salon and love to create the most classic and elegant colours and cuts, I completed a Vidal sasoon cutting course which was focussed around these areas of hairdressing.
I regularly get involved in TIGI courses to keep in check with the latest styles and techniques which means I get to travel to London through the year, this helps me stay inspired and excited about the industry. Along side running my own column I also assist Emma in helping to keep the salon running smoothly on a day to day basis.
Since joining the salon in 2006 as a young apprentice I have worked my way up to being a Creative Director.
I’m also a salon assessor which allows me to be a part of our apprentice’s NVQ training programme.
Since having my children I now work on the salon floor three days a week, Thurs, Fri, Sat. I love looking after my clients most of whom have been with me since qualifying back in 2009. I enjoy all aspects of colouring and cutting.
I joined Harpers in 2008 to train as a hairdresser and have now been on the salon floor for 9 years, in this time I have earned my salon hallmark for big bouncy blow drys and occasion/wedding hair.
I enjoy creating beautiful yet wearable styles and building strong relations with my clients is really important to me.
I recently took part in a photo shoot in London with the TIGI team to work on a new collection for our very own window display, the collection was based around wedding hair, I got the opportunity to pick the models, create the perfect picture and style the hair myself. This was a great experience and gave me many new ideas for creating beautiful wedding hair.
I joined the salon in 2002 and am the longest employee here at Harpers, I have over 18yrs experience on the salon floor and now work two days a week since having my two daughters.
I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but I have a particular love for cutting shorter hair.
A lot of my clients have been with me for over 15yrs and I enjoy keeping them up to date. It's one of the things I love about Harpers - the ongoing training we regularly receive helps us to stay up to date with all the current trends.
I began my apprenticeship with Harpers in 2015 and qualified in 2017 and am now on the salon floor as a senior stylist, which means I’m full of fresh ideas and in touch with current fashion. I regularly attend courses in London with the TIGI team to gain more knowledge, learn new techniques in both colour and cutting and to get fresh inspiration.
I specialise in Beauty Works Hair Extensions and have a passion for “occasion hair”. I recently got involved in a photo shoot with the TIGI team to create a whole new collection and get inspired. I worked closely with the team to create a beautiful window display for our salon based around special occasion hair. Not only did I style the hair, I got involved in the choosing of the model and styling the models outfits. This was a fantastic opportunity and I learnt a lot from it.
I enjoy all aspects of colour work but have a creative flare for precision cutting and short hair work.
Senior Colour Technician
I am working through my apprenticeship to gain my NVQ level 3, I train in the salon every Monday where I work hard on strengthening my skills within hairdressing’s. I am always looking for models so if you’re interested please get in touch.
I really enjoy my work and have a keen interest in fashion. I use fashion magazines and social media to gain my inspiration.
Last year I won our in-house salon competition and was lucky enough to attend @Notanothersalon in London on their freehand balayage course.
My main role within the salon is to look after our lovely clients colours , keeping those roots at bay.
I joined The team in 2015 and after working on the salon floor as a colour technician for 2 years I feel my strengths lie in creative freehand colour and balayage.
I’ve recently returned from maternity leave and am now on the salon floor full time as a stylist which I am absolutely loving. I have a new found love for classic cutting such as the “classic bob” the “perfect pixie and the “blunt lob”.
I recently visited the TIGI studios in London to attend a colour corse and a men’s classic cutting course. I feel it is important to regularly take these courses to keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques.
Graduate gents stylist
I am currently working towards my NVQ level 3 to eventually take my place on the salon floor.
I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but I have a real passion for current gents styling. This is so far my strength within the salon and something in which I take great pride.

Being the newest member to the team I am currently working hard towards my NVQ level 2.
After helping out in a previous salon for almost 2 years I decided that it was definitely the career for me. I joined Harpers in Dec 18 so I now train in the salon every Monday and the rest of the week I closely assist the stylists and help to make each client feel welcome and pampered.

My favourite aspects of hairdressing so far has been cutting and I’m really looking forward to learning creative colouring.
I started working with Harpers in September and love being part of the team.
I do my practical training on a Monday and love learning all aspects of hairdressing. I’m also learning a lot on the days I work within the salon watching and assisting the stylists as they work.
