Last month we were lucky enough to have a day dedicated to refreshing our knowledge and experimenting with new ideas to create upcoming styles.
Training has always been at the forefront of the growth of our salon and stylists as individuals. The TIGI Creative Team travelled from London to share with us different techniques of colouring and cutting that we're able to use in the salon on our client’s.
The morning was spent watching demonstrations.
On our 1st model Kerrie created a marbling effect with TIGI Copyright Colour using babylights technique to create different dimensions of blonde tones in the hair.
The hair was then cut and styled by Pierro he showed us different techniques of how to work with layers to create movement, texture and volume without compromising length.
On our 2nd model Kerrie took pivotal sections and different colours were applied to the hair using a global application of TIGI Copyright Colour, so as the hair moved you could see the different tones shining through.
Pierro then cut and styled. The aim was to keep the length but to reduce thickness and to create texture, internal disconnection was used in hidden panels.
After a quick lunch break eating a lovely buffet from Beaurepaire Patisserie, the afternoon was then spent with us getting hands on creating different looks on our models.
On Kimberley, Emmy applied a soft root stretch technique to create a maintainable clean blonde.
On Emma, Ollie created a precision cut classic bob using a different technique to graduate.
On Judith, Louise and Kathryn created a silver grey colour. Judith's hair was then cut and styled by Ollie creating a textured undercut.
Cat used a subtle balayage technique on Sophie cocktailing colours to create a more bespoke end result.
TIGI inspire us to keep our work fresh and exciting for ourselves and our clients, we love working with them.
